Amsterdam, September 12th — ‘Rumors’ travel fast, especially when they’re this juicy. Set for release on Virgin Records, Romy Janssen now teams up with Grammy-nominated spoken-word artist Lazarusman for her latest single, an alluring vocal cut that’s primed to circulate across club floors and festival stages alike. Catch it when it drops worldwide on September 12, because these 'Rumors’ you won’t want to miss.
True to Romy Janssen’s signature sound, 'Rumors' thrives on precision, with every element of the production serving a clear purpose. A satiating, sticky beat anchors the low end, locking in with sharp, rhythmic synthwork to set the stage for Lazarusman’s simple yet powerful vocal. The result is a fully realized club cut, rich with textured groove and built to carry just about any party from dusk till dawn. Having already dazzled fans in Romy’s recent Tomorrowland performance, it’s clear that ‘Rumors’ is ready to spread like wildfire.
The new single marks the next step in Romy Janssen’s artistic journey, slotting into a recent streak of releases like the emotive 'Loving You' with Starving Yet Full and her dramatic remix of Juliius’ 'Mine'. Her productions show impressive range and an ability to take on new styles, but ultimately find a shared thread in their immersive, feeling first approach. Now paired with the inspired vocals of Lazarusman, Romy Janssen’s production takes a new form yet again, this time walking the line between precision and poetry.

About Lazarusman
The Lazarusman is a Johannesburg based slam poet and spoken word artist who thrives on electronic dance music. Having worked with artists such as Martin Stimming, Tigerskin, Andre Lodemaan and The Djuma Sound System its small wonder that the world stage has opened up to welcome this young artist. His idiosyncratic style of poetry earned him quick recognition in the local poetry scene, performing and competing across South Africa. Instead of conforming to the normal style of poetry that most of his peers had chosen at the time, Lazarus’s style offered a more humorous and quirky way to put across social conversation about political and personal issues that were (and still are) existent in his surroundings.
